Kevin Hancock

Chairman, Hancock Lumber; Author, The Business of Shared Leadership

Kevin Hancock is the managing owner and Chairman of one of America’s oldest family businesses as well as an award-winning author and nationally recognized public speaker.

Established in 1848, Hancock Lumber Company is led by its 720 employees operating 11 lumberyards, 4 sawmills, a truss manufacturing facility, and timberlands in Maine and New Hampshire.  Hancock Lumber is a nine-time recipient of the ‘Best Places to Work in Maine’ award. The company is also a recipient of the Maine Family Business of the Year Award, the Governor’s Award for Business Excellence, the ProSales National Dealer of the Year Award, and the Maine Retailer of the Year Award.

Kevin is a past chairman of the Northeastern Retail Lumber Association, the National Lumber & Building Material Dealers Association, and the Bridgton Academy Board of Trustees.  Kevin has also served of the Board of Directors for the Hussey Seating Corporation in Maine, the Seneca Sawmill Corporation in Oregon, and the Maine Indian Tribal State Commission.

Kevin is a recipient of the Ed Muskie ‘Access to Justice’ Award, the Habitat for Humanity ‘Spirit of Humanity’ Award, the Maine Development Foundation ‘Ken Curtis Leadership Award’, and the Maine Basketball Hall of Fame ‘Directors Award’.

Kevin is the author of three books:

Verne Harnish is founder of the world-renowned Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), with over 16,000 members worldwide, and chaired for fifteen years EO’s premiere CEO program held at MIT, a program in which he still teaches today. Founder and CEO of Scaling Up, a global executive education and coaching company with over 200 partners on six continents, Verne has spent the past four decades helping companies scaleup.

He’s the author of the bestseller Mastering the Rockefeller Habits; authored The Greatest Business Decisions of All Times,” for which Jim Collins wrote the foreword; and wrote Scaling Up (Rockefeller Habits 2.0) which has been translated into 22 languages and has won eight major international book awards including the prestigious International Book Award for Best General Business book. His latest book, Scaling Up Compensation, rocketed to the #1 HR book on Amazon.

Verne also chairs the annual ScaleUp Summits and serves on several boards including vice chair of The Riordan Clinic; co-founder and chair of Geoversity; and board member of the social venture Million Dollar Women. A private investor in many scaleups, Verne enjoys piano, tennis, and magic as a card-carrying member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians.

Alan Mulally

Former CEO, Ford Motor Company

Alan Mulally served as president and chief executive officer of the Ford Motor Company and as a member of Ford’s board of directors from 2006 – 2014.  

Mulally led Ford’s transformation into one of the world’s leading automobile companies and the #1 automobile brand in the United States. He guided Ford in “Working Together” on a compelling vision, comprehensive strategy, and relentless, positive implementation of the One Ford plan to deliver profitable growth for all of the company’s stakeholders and the greater good. Prior to joining Ford, Mulally served as executive vice president of The Boeing Company, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, and president of Boeing Information, Space and Defense Systems from 1969 – 2006 where he created his “Working Together”© Leadership and Management System.  

Throughout his career, Mulally has developed and nurtured his “Working Together” Leadership and Management System and its connected, collaborative, and aligned culture of “love by design” to create value and growth for all the stakeholders and the greater good. Mulally has been recognized for his contributions, industry leadership, and service, including being named #3 on Fortune’s “World’s Greatest Leaders,” one of the 30 “World’s Best CEO’s” by Barrons’ magazine, one of “The World’s Most Influential People” by Time magazine, “Chief Executive of the Year” by Chief Executive magazine, and the Leader of the Future by the Frances Hesselbein Leadership Institute. Mulally previously served on President Obama’s United States Export Council. He served as co-chairman of the Washington Competitiveness Council and has served on the advisory boards of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the University of Washington, the University of Kansas, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the United States Air Force Scientific Advisory Board. Mulally has also served as President of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Aerospace Industries Association. Mulally is a member of the United States National Academy of Engineering and a fellow of England’s Royal Academy of Engineering. Mulally currently serves on the board of Carbon 3D, and has served on the boards of Alphabet, Google, and The Mayo Clinic. Mulally holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Kansas, and a Masters in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as an Alfred P. Sloan Fellow.

Fred Reichheld

Best-selling Author, Speaker and Business Strategist

Fred Reichheld is a Bain Fellow and founder of Bain’s Loyalty practice, which helps companies achieve results through customer and employee loyalty. He is the creator of the Net Promoter® system of management.

His work in the area of customer and employee retention has quantified the link between loyalty and profits.
