Joel Hammer, Managing Director at consulting firm Protiviti, sat down with Jared Spataro, Corporate Vice President of Modern Work at Microsoft to discuss the future of work to 2030 and beyond. Spataro leads Microsoft’s Modern Work team, which is dedicated to helping every person and organization navigate the shift and adapt to the new world of work.

- 4:50 – We need the equivalent of a digital fabric that binds the organization together. That used to be a visionary statement. It’s not a visionary statement any longer. My employees expect to be able to work from anywhere, and I’m never going to have all of them back in the same physical space again.
- 9:40 – A high percentage of employees them say that they feel very comfortable in digital spaces, and they’re ready for more innovation. Companies are still not quite sure what to make of all of this, so it’ll be interesting to see it play out.
